always good to reduce energy consumption when the energy is going out the window instead of staying in the building.

At $25 cost, the break even point is probably only a month or 2 away. So do it!

You need to be a customer of the utility, to get a evaluation.

Maybe we should have an app for "audits". This here usually posts gasoline related topics.

Its hard to find the savings anymore in my case. Over the years I have insulated my attic myself, blown in insulation in side walls, did the calking, and installed storm windows. All the above dropped my energy cost many years ago. Lately, I installed a new back door to stop drafts, changed light bulbs to CFLs and installed a new high efficiency furnace with new air conditioning. I have not seen any new savings with energy cost rising. I have had the A Coil replaced 3 times in 3 years as all leaked and were made in Mexico. Replacing the new 410 freon isn't cheap either costing much more. While parts were under warranty replacing wasn't as the installer had quit the business. Sometimes you can spend a lot and get little in return. Lately, I have elected to go with another energy company which claims to deliver substantial savings over my present supplier. We will see!

Lots of words but where's the BEEF? Hot air is all we get. And what will an audit really do? Let's be honest, other than pay big bucks to beaucrats and put another feather in their hat.

There must be a lot to do in order to save $40 a month, but it's good to reduce the expending.
