This topic is dedicated to the CTS and CTS-V from the Cadillac lineup. I have one (used) on my radar, however, they really hold their value, keeping the prices high.
Post any comments on this fine vehicle. (I've read the CTS posts in other topics - thanks)

****I was at a Cadillac dealership few weeks ago. I saw a CTS with the regular engine that had the six speed. Still surprises me they offer it. Just don't picture most Caddy owners shifting gears. *****

Thats because you image todays Caddy owner as an 80something retired in West Palm Beach playing golf. Caddy has been busy reinventing itself of late. Look at the products they are making today. The CTS is a performance luxury road car built for the enthusiast and for enthusiastic driving. The CTS works well with either transmission. Some people like to shift (me) some don't. Anyone who tries a CTS will fall in love with it - this way you have both choices of transmission.

I hope GM can stay in business, because my CTS is a really good car. I have 8800 miles on it and no problems yet. I just drove from Tampa to Indianapolis with the cruise set at the speed limit+5, and I got 27.6 mpg.

Too small for me. I like the Deville, and I will buy a DTS next.

Not a bad car...I wasn't wild about them when they came out...kinf of blocky and ugly but I've gotten used to them. Much better than the Catera which never had the torque it needed to do it justice. If I were to buy a car in this league, the Cad or an Audi would be the only two I would look at.

Bought a 2009 CTS in July. Drove about 1300 miles on Sunday and Monday. The car was so smooth, quiet, and comfortable, I almost kept going.

Kept the cruise control at 77/78 most of the drive and got 27.1 mpg.

Great car!

Yes I do take the long way home and spend about 1/2 hour admiring the car in the garage.

I just purchased a 2008 CTS DI proformance edition two weeks ago. Wow! I cant believe the new style, handling, comfort, power this car has. Lets not forget the bells and whistles too. Simply amazing. If this is a grandpa car, call me grandpa! Need more inside storage but i can surly live with it. Get ready to drop somewhere in the $45,000 range for this baby. Its worth every cent! Happy motoring. oh almost forgot, 22 mpg avg fuel economy.

<<<Am I too young (28) for a Cadillac? I like the CTS,>>>

Hardly, my 24 yo nephew bought an 07 CTS a couple of months ago. I drove it and also fell in love with it. Fast, powerful, goes around corners nice, smooth and quiet.

Am I too young (28) for a Cadillac? I like the CTS, but I don't know if I can justify paying that much for a car.

Not only is the CTS-V a great car to drive, I consistantly get over 20 mpg - when I keep my foot of the gas. Handles great on the open road. Buy one if you can afford it.
I call it my 4 door Corvette.

I love my 2003 CTS. I put it away for the winter though because it isn't the best to drive in the snow. Also, for what I paid for it I can't see getting in an accident.
