I seem to be a loner here on my game choices. I am hooked on Halo & Halo2, waiting for 3 to be released for PC's. Other ones are Delta Force all. Dooms and Duke Nukum on my Win 95 computer.

I am playing a lot of Civilization 4: Total realism. This is a great Turn-based strategy game!

Lisae, you can purchase carmen sandiego and older DOS games online and use DOSBOX to run them. It works pretty well :)

FPS games are my main standard. You can't beat a mouse and keyboard for FPS games. Some limited RTS games i'll play too.

itkowboy, coincidentally, I just found my Serious Sam The Second Encounter disc - installed it - and am going through it once again.

After I finish with that I am going to start up Duke Nukem 4ever.
(Yes, I know, I know... but I have waited for 14 years for it, and I am going to PLAY IT!)

Quake 2 had some awesome mods - Lithium, Keys, etc.

I like shooter games in general.
I am particular to survival horror games-- I love Left 4 Dead.
I have also been playing Dead Island.
Back in the day I used to play the crap out of Doom, Quake, and those early pre 2000 shooters.
I like some role playing games but sometimes they are just so epic in scope that I lose focus. I like shooters because you can drop the game for a couple months and then get back into it without missing a beat-- harder to do with RPGs.

You are not alone my friend.

I've got a LONG list...currently playing mostly Team Fortress Classic, Day of Defeat, Red Orchestra, Killing Floor, Urban Terror, and Mafia: City of Lost Heaven.

I own both Halo and Halo 2, all Delta Force series *Thanks to Steam! <3*, Duke Nukem, and entire DOOM and Quake, again, thanks to Steam.

Missing several that are available there as well...owning a lot of games, you tend to not find time to play them all. @_@

I agree with the Doom's and Duke-Nukem's.
Serious Sam One, Two, and Two.2 are pretty fun in Co-Op mode!

I am at the end of the StarCraft 2 campaign.

Gameplay = Great.
Story = Great (I like a good story).
Graphics = Great.

But I am not happy with 2 things:
1) You have to be connected to have all your Achievements for the campaign. A temporary loss of connection results in "Hey, you are not connected. To continue, you get no Achievements."
2) It is connected to your BattleNet account to play at all. If you install it on 1 PC that has different user accounts (ex: me, my son, my daughter), only one person can play without having the main user log in. And then that person plays as "Guest" with no player name. I do not expect them to be able to play online, as that *would* require an account. But I would expect them to be able to play the A.I. and the campaign with me having to log into BattleNet.

Been playing Rift in beta and I must say I'm very impressed with it. There is so much content and it is very polished for beta.

I still play starcraft on pc. but generally i love playing strategy games and rpgs that tell a great story. i feel i get my money's worth with these games when compared to short but highly popular action games.
