My favorite show was when a lady called for advice if she should ask her mechanic to cease giving her ex-boyfriend a discount on car repairs. The reason why is because she saw him with another guy. Tom and Ray got her mechanic on the air and he said that he'd start charging the slime ball double. HA! HA!

I still remember the caller who had a VW with 60K miles on it, called in to complain it was running rough and smoking. Click and Clack asked her when she last changed the oil. She responded that she had never changed it--bought the car 5 years earlier and had never changed the oil. Their advice--put a "for sale" sign in the window and take any reasonable offer.

I would have preferred that it was not aired on NPR which has no right to even exist using public funds. Much of the programming on NPR was more than capable of succeeding on a commercial station and it was my desire to see Public Radio disbanded; allowing those programs which were worthy to find a commercial sponsor and forcing the others to fade into oblivion. But there's no question about the quality of their show.
