especially the house gop from Michigan..... where the enbridge spill is a massive toxic mess...-- you would think if the gop had half a brain, they would check the impact the spill has had....

If the senate has any brain cells left, it will be removed in conference.

Tsk tsk, Gas Buddies. This wasn't thwarting BO. He is getting what he wanted all along (the Transportation SPENDING Bill) and only making it appear like he has been defeated. He got House Speaker, John "Benedict Arnold" Boehner to make it look like there was some in-fighting. But in reality, and not unlike Brer Rabbit (Who pleaded to NOT throw him into the brier patch), BO got precisely what he wanted.

From an earlier post:

This was a victory for BO, who wants the Transportation SPENDING Bill. As I said yesterday, even if he vetos bill and the House overrides his veto, the Senate will meet in conference with the House and they will give him the "multi-year" extension of this Transportation SPENDING Bill. House Speaker John Boehner had to make it appear as though the House was wresting a victory from the President, by attaching the Keystone XL pipeline to it, but he is a Benedict Arnold and is being used (willingly) by BO to get that SPENDING bill which is what BO wanted . . . uh, what his bosses wanted all along.
