"We can do this by taking the world off the petroleum standard and putting it on an alcohol standard"
Of course we use over 40% of the harvested corn crop to produce a small fraction of the liquid fuel we consume, so I don't think you are going to see us go on an "alcohol standard" anytime soon...

And on this thread..".It's interesting that this article discusses nothing regarding ethanol... In fact, there is no reference to ethanol what so ever in the original posters posting. I've requested this topic be moved to the politics or gas forum.
Shockjock1961, Based upon the information at hand, I would have to agree with krzysiek_ck's comment. You are changing the subject since there is no reference to ethanol in this topic what so ever."
You two crack me up.

Message Posted: Mar 26, 2012 7:58:51 shockjock1961, where you get anything from this article pertaining to ethanol is beyond me. In fact, there is noting in the article pertaining to ethanol, nor is there anything pertaining to ethanol in the original posters message.
In light of this, I have asked that this be moved to a section more appropriate to gasoline or politics. This was posted on this Topic: How OPEC profit is used to harm And I posted this response to your conversation:"In light of these realities, U.S. energy policy for the last three decades has been a scandal. The time has come for change. To liberate ourselves from the threat of foreign economic domination, to destroy the economic power of the terrorists’ financiers, and to give ourselves the free hand necessary to deal forcefully with them, we must devalue their resources and increase the value of our own. We can do this by taking the world off the petroleum standard and putting it on an alcohol standard."
Putting it on a what "an alcohol standard". If you two need anymore "splainin"....just let me know. I will be happy to help!

What is the reference to "you two", I think I am the only one questioning the legitimacy of this topic in the category "all things ethanol"...Your link was bad, and though I could probably fix it (odd that it was from chicago gas buddy and looked like it might be on a mobile device), I thought best to leave weel enough alone... Plus my link was referencing the news article from ap from an acceptable news source...

Gamechanger2011,
"What about the Topics: Amoco Ultragold Appreciation "Electic Car".....I'm sure that they meant electric car
Please feel free to clean this site up....have fun"
Amoco Ultragold: - Goldseeker indicated it was in wrong forum, I specifically didn't post in it for that purpose... And did report it.
Appreciation - Didn't bother, but it really should have been reported it, I will try to be more dilligent...
Electric Car - Again, didn't bother, but it really should have been reported, i will try to be more dilligent...

If the topic is irrelevant to ethanol, then why is it an ethanol forum?

I somehow missed getting the link on this topic...here it is. I beg to differ about the relevance of this article. It bolsters my claim for renewable fuels. I post articles that I chink others on this site will benefit from reading.
I can go on other categories and find topics very irrelevant You two just think that you have found a way to censure this site.

I guess you could, but that would be just plain ignorant.
