My last Dodge was a '66 Dart! Sweet little slant-6 in it, but that was a l-o-o-o-ng time ago.

Also saw a repair shop on Westella just east of Dairy Ashford, Watson's Lawn Equipment. It's a pretty complete store, and has been there for years. Westella is the first east-bound street south of Briar Forest.

I dunno: I looked at obd-codes.com and didn't see any trouble code that matched that description, either a general code or one specific to the make (Honda). I'm about half convinced there really wasn't any firmware update and it was just one of those "I need an extra $75 for this month's boat payment" stories. Kind of like those mechanics that like to try to scare you into getting work done by telling you what's going to fall off the car. Really hate those guys...

I found that out after a dealer charged me $75 to read the code and tell me it was because my OBD computer's firmware wasn't up-to-date. Of course, the only place I could get it updated was at the dealer, and guess who hadn't ever updated it: the dealer.

Next time the CEL comes on, the O'Reilly on 6 - near Keith Harrow - will loan you a code meter so you can figure out what's causing it. Last time it happened to me, it was a dirty Mass Airflow Sensor; so they sold me an 8-dollar can of MAF sensor cleaner. Once it was cleaned, the light never came back on and I still had the truck for another two years.

Maybe a little distant, but I've had good experience with Bear Creek on Addicks-Satsuma road. It's right about where A-S takes a right-angle bend and heads north toward West Little York.

No. I just started going thru it thinking/hopeing maintenance would work and it did. Changed oil. Changed gas. Cleaned air filter. And it finally started and ran again. I did see in YP that there are 2 on clay past hwy 6. Any input still appreciated.

Never mind. Fixed it myself. Kept pulling of parts. Putting back and retrying to start. Finally started! Next will need to sharpen the blade. Need to have my grandson come over and learn how as long as I'm at it!

Well, took the family to Mamacitas Not the best experience... I ordered the tamale dinner and got mole (Which none of us likes) Son ordered a dish that had raw veggies, which he does not like, but was not in the description 2 out of 4 is not great... They did take the mole off the bill though, so they made it right

Re: Yelp, you should probably ignore the 5-star raves and the 1-star rants and concentrate on the ratings in the middle as being more honest and/or objective.

And if you can't find what you're looking for at one, try a different one, they don't have the same inventory.

Grocery Stores
Joe V's: Good SElection of inexpensive produce, some good buys on other items but stock varies and is not comprehensive. SEllers Bros: Good produce Teloloapan: Skip the produce, meat and dairy here as a rule. Good prices sometimes on things like bleach, laundry products, charcoal, paper goods, canned goods El Ahorro: Good produce, limited range, aimed at Hispanic tastes. Good buys on other items sometimes. NOTE: Long Point and Blalock stores do NOT have the same flyer. The Long Point one is the one on their website; Blalock I think you need to sign up for. Kroger: Need to check Gessner & Katy Fwy locations for different specials Gasoline points. HEB: Need to check Bunker Hill and Kempwood locations for different specials Fiesta: Sometimes good specials, sometimes nothing I want. Randalls: Pricey. Gasoline points Rice Epicurean Revival Market: Heights at White Oak SE corner. Pricey but good organics some unusual items like cane vinegar (NO SUGAR!) SErve lunches too. TERRIFIC meats, the place to get that special steak! Locally grown and produced items are the focus. Small and friendly. I shop where the prices are best, often hitting all them in a week, even multiple locations for them. By combining them with other errands, it's not really a gas burner, especially if I also have coupons.

PTCRUISERGT I'm starting to grow my own foods, and I have gotten a few winter heirloom seeds from Sustainable Seed Company -- more than I can use and my sister-in-law has already gotten what she wants. Would love to talk to you about your summer experiences and winter/spring plans. One thing is I'm about to order some onions from Dixondale Farms. They will send 60 -80 and I do not have room for all those! Would you like to split the order -- it's a mix of red, white and yellow onions that have done well here according to the A&M site and the Chronicle site.
